Our goal is to get as many athletes seeing great as we can... all sports all positions all ages.
Let's GO...
"I can pick up curve balls and fastballs better. I can see the spin and movement and square up a lot better. I used to struggle with a curve ball but now I just sit on it. Before I would have been a little out in front of it and not seeing it as well. The program transitioned to real life.
Even though we never talked about pitch recognition, I recognize the pitch a lot faster. At the very start of me doing the program I wasn’t hitting much of anything, but into the 2nd week I started hitting. After that I hit 11 home runs when last year I didn’t hit any.
I hone in on one spot on the catcher’s mitt. Tom has always told me do that but it helped me be able to do that better. I’m hitting spots better.
It helped me improve on everything. Hitting, fielding, depth perception. My fielding got a lot better because it helped me see a lot better in the field. I can see the ball coming at me.

"We all know the mental game is very important in baseball, Yes, positivity, but keeping that focus and not being so down on yourself or negative when something doesn’t go right. Refocus and put it all behind you. Quiet all the noise in your head.
The vision program is a task you physically do. It is easier to get him to participate in that than reading about a mental program, which is hard to grasp and practice. The Bailey Workouts were concrete eye exercises. At first it stressed his eyes a little bit. He could tell that it was doing something when he was getting through them faster. Now he can stop and refocus and quiet his mind a little bit, which helps with some of his emotions. He’s not in his head like he used to be.
The FocusBand is an amazing tool because you have an “aha” moment. You can show the kids how negative self talk affects the brain. It’s hard to get a 16 year old boy to appreciate and understand all the mental things. It goes right over their head. The kids can’t relate with it yet. They don’t have the life experiences to understand. The FocusBand you can show them feedback “you see what you just did?” Whatever you did, he’s calmer."

"About 3 weeks into the program, I could register color with my peripheral vision better. And I noticed it. That was impressive and when I bought into the program. Sometimes you have a pass rush on the play and you’re not always looking dead at them. You have to use your peripheral vision to help you out with that. I notice colors in my peripheral and make reads accordingly.
The pace of my vision and how fast it moves got better. I can peek and peek and peek and notice what is going on. Then I find the path.
We had an injury in our wide receiver position, so I had to step up and play that. The first week I didn’t do any drills because I got pushed into it. This helped me focus on the ball and bring it in. I’ve noticed an improvement on that as well.
My coach, when we were watching film together, he pointed out I was improving on seeing the field better.--

“Normally you either feel good or you don’t. You start off and know how your bullpen’s gonna be. I feel like if I was in a slump or having a bad game, I would struggle and couldn’t throw strikes. When I’m throwing bad I used to get into repetition, but the breathing helps you lock back in and focus back in. The breathing is a reset. So now if it starts off not so good, I do my double inhale and then out of nowhere I think “wow I feel really good.”
The double inhale and gaze behavior has become a routine now. I don’t think about it. I breathe before I go into the throw. I have to keep doing it because of how it helped me from day 1. Normally I get all tense and throw but now I can just relax and let my body work and the velo is there.
I had a problem of tensing up and syncing. I’d get in my head “mechanical mechanical.” With the breathing and immersing in vision, instead of thinking about mechanics, I would just go. It helped me to relax and to clear the mind. Just throw the ball.”

Last high school season I did not feel like I was seeing the ball well. I didn’t know if my vision was bad or not. My doctor said my vision was great, but I still I could not see the ball close to the plate, I had to make early decisions, and I was chasing bad pitches. I was swinging early, popping stuff out, or rolling stuff over. I wasn’t squaring the ball up. So far this fall there hasn’t been much of any of that.
The 3V program was not hard for me to do. You just have to bear down and do it. The eye exercises were difficult a first, but they got easier.
Last spring I hit .250 and I’m hitting a .571 this fall. I’m working on other things as well. This is part of the puzzle. I can see the ball longer now. I can track it longer. I don’t have to make a decision as early as I did in the spring. I’m swinging at better pitches and and squaring up better. The release is much clearer. Before it was more shaky, but now it’s more smooth and clean.
So far the fall has been a massive success. Thanks for the program!”-

"Command has gotten 10x better. Normally I would look at a general area and take a deep breath. Now I can see the logo on the mitt, like the W on the Wilson. I can aim smaller and miss smaller. That has helped me a lot. Eight weeks ago, I struggled so much to look at the whole glove. I couldn't hit a spot to save my life. I was so wild. Now I can just lock in, and it's so good I love it.
I feel more calm. I can put myself in a calm space and not worry about anything else when I focus on the spot of my catcher. If I am in a struggle, I close my eyes and take a few of the double inhales and I feel 10x better. It works very well. It came out of nowhere. I've never been calm on the mound.
After the FocusBand analysis in the office of what calmed me, I use the sensory toy in the car and in the dugout. I honestly thought it was really dumb at first, but I started messing with it and realized it worked."

Playing in games, my job is to get my eyes to a safety or a spot to confirm a coverage as soon as it is happening as soon as I get the snap of the ball. I can’t be looking at the pass rush, because if I’m late on the pass rush I’m late on everything else. Taking my eyes and looking at a safety to confirm a post snap coverage without having to drop my eyes down gives me that slowed down sense. Before my body would feel it a half second later, but that may be too late and I may give up a sack or try to get the ball out quicker and mess up my mechanics.
Being able to see that out of the corner of my eye truly does help. It feels different than games did last year and that’s been the biggest thing.

"After about a month of doing exercises, I noticed where my mis-hits were turning into stronger hits. I wasn’t fouling off as much and my singles were turning into line drives and multi-base hits. My strike out percentage went down, which made my average and OBP go up. My perception of the ball changed, and I picked up on depth better. It wasn’t just a little red and white blur anymore but I could see more detail. When the ball was coming at me, I didn’t go double anymore or feel the panic that I used to have.
I’m able to make better decisions on what’s a good pitch or not because I feel like I have more time to make those decisions. I feel like I can wait longer to decide and start my swing, and that’s helped my timing and precision, which has helped square up the barrel.
Definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without everything Dr. B has done!! Completely changed my ability to track and perceive baseball in a whole new way!"

"SVI's program is just what we need in youth & professional hockey training, especially goalie work. Not only are we developing better eye control to give our athletes an edge, but the concussion care and general safety of these kids is a major priority too. Athletes in all sports need this!"

“I have coached travel baseball teams at the highest level for more than a decade. In a very short time Dr. Bailey has changed my perspective on vision. More and more I understand that your eyes are the gateway to the brain and that network can be improved to operate more efficiently through vision therapy.”

"Dr. Bailey has been our family eye doctor for over 10 years. When we moved from California she really helped us perfect our son’s vision. He had a mild prescription and a mild misalignment, so with some simple therapy and amber-tinted lenses in a cool frame, she straightened him out. Any other doctor would have blown these mild adjustments off but not her! I’ll never forget him grinning from ear to ear telling her about his first home run… she was so excited!"
